This policy explains what the Faithboard app for iPhone does with your information: what it collects, how, why, with whom it is shared, how long it is kept and how you can delete it. Faithboard is made by Serkan Sayhan, an individual developer in Türkiye (“we”, “us”).
- No accountNo sign-up, email or password. We don't know who you are.
- Your prayers stay on your iPhoneGoals, journal and answered prayers are never on our servers.
- AI only with your permissionNothing is sent to an AI provider until you say yes, and you can stop anytime.
- No ads, no trackingNo advertising or tracking software, and we never sell data.
1No account
You never create an account to use Faithboard. There is no sign-up, no email address and no password. We do not know who you are.
2What stays on your iPhone
Everything you enter is kept in the app’s private storage on your device, including:
- The first name you give us, used only to greet you.
- Your answers during setup: the areas you are trusting God for, how this season feels, how long you have carried it, how often you pray, and your Bible version.
- What you are praying for, in your own words, with its declaration, prayer and promises.
- The days you declared, your streak and your 21-day challenge.
- Your journal entries and what you write when you mark a prayer answered.
- Vision board cards, and copies of any photos you choose for them.
- Prayer audio you create, saved as sound files.
- Your reminder time, chosen voice and AI choice.
We cannot see, read or recover any of this. It is included in your iPhone’s own backups (iCloud or computer) the way other app data is, under Apple’s terms.
3AI help, only with your permission
Before anything is sent, Faithboard asks whether you want a personal declaration written for you, and names the AI providers involved. If you choose ready-made declarations instead, nothing in this section happens.
If you agree:
- To write your declaration and prayer, we send what you wrote you are praying for, plus the fixed choices you picked (areas, Bible version, how this season feels and how long you have carried it) and the language the app is in, so the answer comes back in it. Your name is never sent.
- To read them aloud (Prayer Audio), we send the declaration and prayer text and the voice you chose.
These requests go to our server, which forwards them to fal.ai. fal.ai runs the request on a language model made by Anthropic (Claude), reached through OpenRouter, or on a text-to-speech model for audio, and returns the result to your iPhone. These providers process the content only to produce the response. We do not store it on our servers (except a text you report, see section 4), do not put it in our logs, and do not use it to train AI.
You can withdraw your permission at any time in Settings → Personalize with AI. From then on nothing is sent, and Faithboard uses ready-made declarations.
The Bible verses you see are never written by AI. They come from public-domain translations bundled in the app: the World English Bible and King James Version in English, the Bíblia Portuguesa Mundial in Portuguese and La Biblia en Español Sencillo in Spanish. The AI only chooses among them.
4What our server keeps, and for how long
Our server runs on Cloudflare. It keeps the following, and nothing else:
- Usage counters. A random identifier created on your iPhone when you install the app, with how many declarations and audio readings it has requested, to keep the free plan fair and our costs bounded. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or device. Kept while Faithboard is offered, because the free allowance is per install; it holds only numbers.
- Daily request counts per network address, to stop abuse. The address is turned into a salted one-way hash before it is stored; the address itself is never stored. Deleted after 30 days.
- Setup step counts. As you go through the first-time setup, the app tells our server which step you reached (for example the reminder or the plans screen), once per step. Nothing goes with it: no identifier, nothing you wrote and none of your answers. The server only adds one to that step’s total for the day, so we can see where people stop and make the setup better. These totals describe no one and are kept.
- Technical logs about each request (for example whether it succeeded, how long it took and what it cost), never what you wrote or what was written for you. Kept by Cloudflare for at most 7 days.
- Reports, only if you send one. Next to text written by AI there is a Report button. If you tap it and pick a reason, that one AI-written declaration or prayer and the reason are stored so a person can review it and improve Faithboard. What you wrote, your name and your identifier are not included. Deleted once reviewed, and automatically after 90 days at the latest.
Like any website, Cloudflare necessarily sees your network address when your iPhone connects, under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
5Who else handles data
We work with these service providers, each only for the purpose shown:
- Cloudflare hosts our server and its database (section 4).
- fal.ai, OpenRouter and Anthropic write declarations and prayers and read them aloud, only with your permission (section 3).
- RevenueCat confirms subscriptions under an anonymous identifier (section 7).
- Apple handles payments and your device backups, under Apple’s privacy policy.
We share data with them only as described in this policy. Each of them is bound by its own terms and privacy commitments to protect that data to the same or an equal standard as this policy and Apple’s App Review Guidelines require. We do not share data with anyone else, including advertising networks or data brokers.
6Permissions
- Photos. Only the photos you pick for a vision board card are read, and a copy is kept inside the app. Saving a wallpaper, card or video asks for permission to add to your library; Faithboard does not read your library.
- Notifications. Daily reminders, and a few notes if you have been away for some days, are scheduled on your iPhone itself; nothing is sent from a server. Their text is generic or a Bible verse, and never names what you are praying for. You can turn either off in Settings → Daily reminder.
The home and lock screen widget shows a Bible verse and how many days in a row you have declared, never what you are praying for, because others can see your screen.
When you share a card, wallpaper or video, it goes where you send it through Apple’s share sheet. We do not receive a copy.
7Subscriptions
Faithboard Plus is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or Apple ID. To confirm what you have bought, the App Store receipt is checked with Apple and with RevenueCat under the anonymous identifier from section 4, and our server asks RevenueCat, with that same identifier, whether it has Plus to apply the right limits. This shows which plan you have and when it renews, not who you are.
8No ads, no tracking
Faithboard contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software, does not ask to track you across apps or websites, and does not sell or share personal information. The only usage information we have is the anonymous setup step counts in section 4.
9Your choices, and deleting your data
- Stop AI help: Settings → Personalize with AI. Nothing is sent from then on.
- Stop reminders: Settings → Daily reminder, or iOS Settings → Notifications.
- Get a copy: Settings → Export my data saves everything as a file you can keep or send wherever you choose.
- Delete everything: Settings → Delete all data, or delete the app. This removes all your content from your device right away.
- Cancel Plus: iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
The server records in section 4 are not linked to you, so we cannot find or single out yours; they are deleted on the schedule shown there. If you have a concern, write to us and we will do what we reasonably can.
10Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU and UK GDPR, California law and Türkiye’s KVKK), you have rights to access, correct, delete, port and object to processing of your personal data. Because your content stays on your device, you can see, export, edit and delete it in the app at any time, as described in section 9. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
11Children
Faithboard is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
12Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
